OCTOPUS database (v.2)

OCTOPUS is a web-enabled database that allows users to visualise, query, and download cosmogenic radionuclide, luminescence, and radiocarbon ages and denudation rates associated with erosional landscapes, Quaternary depositional landforms, and archaeological records, along with ancillary geospatial data layers.

The database is supported by the Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence for Australian Biodiversity and Heritage (CABAH). Funding was also provided by the University of Wollongong and the Australian National Data Service (ANDS), now part of the Australian Research Data Commons.

For an overview of the database, read the accompanying publication in the journal Earth System Science Data, and for in-depth data, attribute, and output descriptions, read the online documentation. To provide feedback about the data collections or to request more information, contact Alexandru T. Codilean (codilean@uow.edu.au).
