OCTOPUS database v.2.2 (07.2024)
OCTOPUS is a web-enabled database for visualizing, querying, and downloading cosmogenic radionuclide, luminescence, radiocarbon ages, and denudation rates related to erosional landscapes, Quaternary depositional landforms, and paleoecological, paleoenvironmental, and archaeological records. It also includes ancillary geospatial data layers.
Supported by the Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence for Australian Biodiversity and Heritage (CABAH), the database also received funding from the University of Wollongong and the Australian National Data Service (ANDS), now part of the Australian Research Data Commons.

Use this functionality to export vector and attribute data
stored in the OCTOPUS relational database.
If layer filtering is enabled, only visible features will be exported. When exporting data in KML and KMZ formats, the data is limited to the region currently displayed on the screen. All other export formats will include the entire geographic extent of the selected dataset.

CRN Denudation: To download ancillary cosmogenic radionuclide data including raster data and CAIRN input/output files,
use the Download Ancillary Data functionality.
Sedimentary Charcoal & IPPD: The data provided here is a subset, including only overview information at the collection-unit and dataset levels. For complete data access, refer to the online documentation and use WFS (Web Feature Service).
Use this functionality to request downloads of raster data layers and CAIRN configuration and input/output files related to cosmogenic radionuclide denudation rate datasets.
Data are packaged in zip archives, with archive names corresponding to the study ID of each publication in the database. For detailed information on the contents, refer to the online documentation.
